Illustration as an ode to female athletes

For this reason, I created the following illustration as an ode to women athletes. The illustration shows one of the first sports in which women were allowed to participate, the discus throw. ou can also see the colors of the Dutch flag incorporated, both in the background and in the clothing, because of the debut of women at the Olympics in Amsterdam, in 1928.

The discus in the woman’s hand is fused with the logo of the Olympics. As a milestone, but not an endpoint. In fact, the discus is still in full swing.
