Do you know that feeling? You’re working hard, a deadline is approaching, and suddenly… Poof! That dreaded notification pops up: Your iCloud storage is full. Not now! Your head almost explodes 🤯—and that’s exactly what my illustration captures. A mix of the iCloud logo and the “mind blown” emoji, surrounded by a whirlwind of flying files. Pure chaos!

How did we get here?
Back in the day, things were simple: you saved your files on a hard drive and never had to worry about space. Nowadays, almost everyone works in the cloud. It’s super convenient—you can access your files from anywhere, it’s more sustainable, and it saves costs. But there’s one problem: storage isn’t infinite. The more we work online, the faster our cloud fills up with documents, photos, videos, and other files.
Cloud services like iCloud, Google Drive, and OneDrive keep offering more storage, but free space is limited. And once you hit that storage limit, you get the dreaded message: Your cloud is full. And that’s when the stress begins.
What now? Clean up or upgrade?
So there you are, with an overloaded iCloud and an approaching deadline. What now? Here are a few options:
- Clean up: Go through your files and delete what you no longer need. Old screenshots, duplicate photos, and unused documents take up unnecessary space.
- Move files: Transfer large files to an external hard drive or another cloud service to free up space.
- Buy extra storage: If cleaning up isn’t an option and you really want to keep everything, an extra storage subscription might be the solution.
A relatable moment brought to life

My illustration perfectly captures this experience: the frustration of an overflowing cloud and the chaos of flying files. Who hasn’t been there? That moment when your laptop or phone says: Nope, that’s it.
